Recognize That The Other Person Is You.

I drink this yummy tea by Yogi teas called bedtime and it has these sometimes inspiring little qoutes on the tea tag, kinda like a fortune cookie but different. There have been a few that resonate, the one last night was "Share your strengths, not your weaknesses.", I agree with that but I also think it's important to demonstrate that we're human and we all have weaknesses, we're not infallable. The one that resonated the other day was "Recognize that the other person is you." That one hit home because in this busy world you can feel so isolated and like everything has something to do with you and why is that person so annoying and you drive like a jerk, get out of my way but in reality we're all like that and we're all the other person just trying to live a good life and that restores some of my compassion for my fellow people.

Hi, I'm Leena and I live in Sweden. I bought my first package of yogi tea today and the first quote I got was "recognize that the other person is you". I googled it and ended up here. Just thought I'd share that. Take care!

Hi! I also used to drink that tea and I really love that quote.
I interpret it as, other people are just a projection of your life experiences and so, if someone annoys you or upsets you, there's a reason for that, and you either a) deserve it or b) need to learn an important lesson from it. The other person doesn't exist without you. If you weren't there, would that person still be annoying you?
